Unveiling of the KD Crest

The Kappa Delta Crest is complete!

During the Process:

 MDF plywood is cut with a jigsaw, the design is drawn in sharpie, tile is cut and laid out in sections then glued,  intricate shapes are cut on a scroll tile saw, the piece is grouted and cleaned up!

 This past weekend, my mom and I went to Columbia, MO for the Kappa Delta's Alumnae Weekend at Mizzou!  We brought the crest and presented it to the Epsilon Iota Chapter!

We met up with two of my mom's closest Kappa Delta friends, Rhonda (Overland Park, KS) and Theresa (Sikeston, MO) and made a weekend out of it!  We had a blast!

 This one was a little bit bigger, heavier, and more complicated to make than the Delta Gamma crest

Sorority Love

The blog dedicated to all cute girly things sorority girls love, Sorority Sugar, posted about our Delta Gamma crest for the Theta chapter at the University of Indiana, stating, "There are no words to describe how stunning this is." ...awwww thanks Sorority Sugar- we're blushing!!!

Kappa Delta Crest

We've finally started a Kappa Delta mosaic shield!!!

It's about time we made one for our own sorority!  My mom and I were both Kappa Deltas [Vicky at Missouri University and me at Kansas State]

Here are the photos of our recently finished Delta Gamma crest for the girls at Tennessee Tech!

This might seem like de ja vu, because it almost looks just like the last one, but like all handmade things- no two are exactly alike!

New Postcard Mailer

Here's our new postcard design to send out to sororities:

They will be glossy oversized postcards.  The zebra, teal, and black design mimics my mom's business cards for Into Pieces (her mosaic company).  The back-side will have a brief description of my mom and I/what we do, and the address on the right like a typical postcard.

I'd love to have a picture of a different crest on there as an example, but we keep getting Delta Gamma commissions!  Tell me what you think before we order them if you have any suggestions!

Calling all Sororities!

My mom, and I recently finished a commissioned piece we made for the Delta Gamma house in Indiana.

If you recall, we created a small crest for their auction a while back.

They went CRAZY over it and asked us to do a poster-size one to hang on the wall in their chapter room!
